Welcome to my portfolio website! My name is Andrew McCourt, and I'm a 21 year old senior Computer Science major at the University of Maryland - College Park.

Although I live in Maryland during the school year, I spend my summers living and working in the North Shore of Massachusetts.

I have a strong desire to soak up as much as I can about different aspects of programming and computer science! As a student and an intern over the past couple summers, I have gained experience with many different languages and concepts including Java, C, Javascript, Node.js, HTML, CSS, Salesforce, Apex, and more. Check out my resume below to see a full list of my experiences and skills.

In my spare time I enjoy playing PC games, watching e-sports, and practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I'm also an avid skier in the winter-time.

Please feel free to contact me using the form below or email me at!

UMD Schedule of Classes Extension

This is a chrome extension that I created to solve an issue that I had with my school's Schedule of Classes.

Picking classes for the semester was difficult because I would have to look up professor ratings for each available section manually.

This extension adds color-coded scores on a 0-5 scale pulled from Each score is displayed next to the professors name to allow section choices to be made easier for students.

NetBinge - A Netflix Chrome Enhancement

I created this extension to add some new features to improve Netflix viewer experience, as well as to practice using Javascript for Chrome development.

A lot of people like to set up Netflix on their computer screen at one end of the room and watch from the other, so having to use the mouse to skip intros and click the "are you still watching?" message is inconvenient.

This extension automates these features, and also blurs the episode descriptions on Netflix which often contain spoilers. Each feature is easily toggle-able in a simple popup menu.
